Although aluminum alloy edge trims have effectively addressed the issue of damage to the corners and edges of doors, door frames, and door frame trim strips, the front surface of the door and the sides of the door frame still suffer from scratches and dents caused by vehicle collisions. According to our observations, the areas most frequently scratched are located at heights of 65–85 millimeters above the ground—these marks are typically left by the small front wheels of wheelchairs or other vehicles; at heights of 300–320 millimeters above the ground—these marks are usually caused by the large rear wheels of wheelchairs or other vehicles; and at heights of 780–800 millimeters above the ground—these marks result from contact with the upper parts of stretcher carts or other vehicles. Therefore, during the design and manufacturing process, impact-resistant strips made of 1-millimeter-thick stainless steel should be installed in these three specific areas.
