All materials used in wooden thermal-insulated fire doors undergo rigorous inspection and are procured in compliance with national standards. We also conduct regular, random sampling inspections to ensure that every raw material meets the relevant specifications without exception before being put into production. We fully understand that fire doors cannot be treated as ordinary household items. Therefore, we leave no room for even the slightest issue that could affect product performance or user safety—such concerns must be eliminated entirely before production begins. The difference between Class B and Class C: the size specifications of the door frame materials and the thickness of the door leaf.
Like steel fire doors, wood fire doors are also installed and used in public areas such as stairwells, elevator shafts, corridor partitions, and pipe shafts. The maximum dimensions for Class B and Class C wood fire doors are: single doors—1100 x 2300 mm; double doors—1800 x 2300 mm. For Class A wood fire doors, the maximum dimensions are: single doors—1000 x 2100 mm; double doors—1500 x 2100 mm. Wood fire doors feature aesthetic appeal, light weight, thermal and sound insulation properties, and ease of fabrication. Class B and Class C wood fire doors can be equipped with door casings and trim strips.
Materials:
The door frame is made of imported mahogany, while the door leaf frame is made of domestically produced cedar wood.
All wood must undergo vacuum-pressure flame-retardant treatment to achieve a wood’s flame-retardant rating.
The internal filling material is made of non-toxic, harmless, fire-retardant, and heat-insulating materials. For the veneer plywood used in standard fire doors, willow-ash three-ply plywood and melamine-faced panels are typically employed.
Expansion sealing material is provided at the joint between the door frame and the door leaf, around the perimeter of the door leaf, and at the center seam of double-door assemblies.
If the door leaf needs to be equipped with fire-resistant glass, the dimensions of Class B and Class C fire-resistant glass generally do not exceed those of Class A glass (350x300mm), with Class A glass typically measuring no more than 250x800mm.
Color:
The surface color of wood-based thermal and fire-resistant doors should be determined according to the user’s requirements. Since these fire-resistant doors are primarily used in common areas of buildings and are prone to damage during on-site construction, we recommend leaving them unpainted at the factory and applying the paint on-site once the project is nearly complete. This approach ensures a more scientific and user-friendly service. Typically, our company offers two standard colors—silver-gray and dark red—for your selection.
