To enhance frontline employees’ awareness of fire safety, as well as their skills in evacuation, escape, and firefighting, and to strengthen summer production safety efforts, Qunsheng Doors and Windows organized a fire drill exercise on the afternoon of May 30th in Workshop Area B.
As the workshop’s pre-set smoke-generating device was activated, the fire drill officially began. Soon after, blue figures clad in work uniforms emerged swiftly from the smoke, covering their mouths and noses as they sprinted toward the factory gate.
Before the smoke had even cleared, all frontline employees on duty in Workshop Area B had assembled within five minutes. Standing neatly in formation, they listened attentively as Lu Hongji, head of the Security Department, delivered a lecture on fire safety awareness, evacuation and escape procedures, and firefighting skills.
Chief Lu explained to the employees the precautions to take before and after using a fire extinguisher, including how to check whether the extinguisher is in good working order, how to remove the safety pin, how to hold the nozzle properly, and how to aim the spray at the source of the fire. He emphasized that frontline production workers must treat fire safety as an essential part of their daily routines and take preventive measures to avoid fires altogether. Afterwards, he conducted a spot check to see whether the personnel present could use the fire extinguishers correctly and in compliance with the proper procedures.
Water hose firefighting is also an effective fire-extinguishing method that can quickly deliver water to the source of the fire when a blaze breaks out, thereby effectively controlling and extinguishing the fire. Chief Lu conducted spot checks on some frontline employees to verify their understanding of the operational procedures for fire hoses and water hoses.
This fire drill has further enhanced the frontline employees’ ability to prevent and self-rescue in case of fire accidents. Fire safety is a shared responsibility, and everyone should attach great importance to and actively participate in fire safety training. Qunsheng Doors & Windows will continue to carry out fire safety work effectively, strengthen fire safety publicity, firmly establish the safety principle of “fire safety—never forget it for a moment,” and create a stable and positive fire safety environment.
