To enhance frontline employees’ awareness of fire safety, as well as their skills in evacuation, escape, and firefighting, and to strengthen autumn production safety efforts, Qunsheng Doors and Windows organized a fire drill in the workshop corridor on the afternoon of October 31.
Before the formal drill, Lu Hongji, head of the Security Department, demonstrated to everyone how to properly put on and use fire protection equipment, as well as the detailed rules for this drill. Chief Lu emphasized that “everyone is equal in the face of a fire.” The more fire safety knowledge you acquire, the greater your chances of ensuring safety. As employees responsible for safe production in enterprises—especially frontline workers—you must constantly remain vigilant about safety and take preventive measures before disasters strike.
After introducing the rules of the drill, we’ll begin dividing into small groups to compete in a speed contest for firefighting skills. In the early stages of a fire, when the burning area is still relatively small, extinguishing the fire should be prioritized. However, fighting a nascent fire is a race against time—every second counts. The key to successfully extinguishing the fire as quickly as possible lies in firefighters’ ability to swiftly put on their protective gear and connect the fire hose to begin extinguishing the blaze.
At the conclusion of the drill, to enhance employees’ physical fitness, Chief Lu proposed increasing their exercise volume by conducting a relay bucket-carrying exercise.
This year, fires have been occurring with increasing frequency. In a context where fire safety knowledge is receiving ever greater attention, the role of fire drills has become particularly prominent. Through regularly conducting fire training and drills at irregular intervals each year, Qunsheng Doors and Windows has effectively enhanced the physical fitness of frontline workers participating in these activities, improved their drill experience, and ensured that everyone present fully recognizes the importance of fire safety work.
